Our occupational therapy sessions are designed to provide you with the best possible care in a supportive and respectful environment. I focus on a comprehensive approach, considering not just physical but also emotional and social factors that impact your overall well-being. I stays up to date with the latest practices in occupational therapy to ensure you receive effective and current treatments.
Occupational therapy can assist with a variety of conditions, including recovery from injuries, managing chronic illnesses, and improving overall daily functioning.
Your first visit will involve an initial assessment and discussion of your goals. Follow-up sessions may include targeted activities and ongoing evaluations. Sessions typically last between 30-60 minutes, with each treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
The number of sessions depends on your individual condition and goals. Short-term issues may be addressed in just a few visits, while more chronic or complex needs might require longer-term therapy. I will provide guidance on the expected duration of your treatment.
Occupational therapy is a safe and effective practice when conducted by our licensed professionals. Any discomfort or adjustment period is typically mild and temporary. I am always available to discuss any concerns you may have.
A doctor's referral is not required to make an appointment. However, some insurance companies may require one, so please check with your provider.
Most extended health insurance plans cover partial or full occupational therapy costs. Unfortunately, direct billing is not available for occupational therapy. Patients will need to pay, and submit directly to their insurance.
I request 24-hour notice for any cancellations. Insurance companies do not cover cancelled or missed appointments, and the full fee must be covered by the patient
I adhere to all public health guidelines, including screening protocols and the use of face masks when requested. Your wellbeing is our top priority.
I accept MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) patients. Please bring your insurance information (e.g., claim number, policy number, and adjuster’s contact information) to your first visit. I am not a WCB (Workers' Compensation Board) clinical provider. For work-related injuries, you will need to attend a WCB-approved clinic.
